All in a days work...

It is 5:00pm and my boys are fast asleep! It was a hard days work that knocked them out. It is 93 degrees today...can you believe that?? 93 in April! It's supposed to be that hot for the next 2 days. I don't like it!

Scott & Noah spent all day ripping out the front landscape and planting new flowers. After that project, they decided it was time to plant 2 trees right by Noah's "house". The afternoon sun is so intense in the backyard and Scott thought it would be good to make some shade. Noah was the ultimate helper. He loves to work side by side with his Dad. I don't know if Scott loves it, but I love seeing the two of them work together. He certainly wants to be just like his Dad. Noah is very independent & can figure things out when he needs to. Sometime that is good, but as you can imagine it's not always the best thing for him to do. He made his own way to get into Dad's truck.

I am glad that this is just fresh dirt and not manure...The neighbors have a bunch of bags of manure because they are also working on their yard. She said that her kids love playing with those bags....she said she's going to wrap them up as Christmas gifts! The smell as you can imagine is horrible, but it does do wonder for the yard.

Movin' dirt...he used to pick up this wheel barrow when he was 18 months old and would move it around.
The dirt in our backyard is awful! Scott actually broke a shovel...Noah just kept digging and digging, preparing for his tree.

This is hard work!!!

All new plants need "drinks" as Noah calls it. That's what helps them grow.
...on to the next tree.....
