Italy

If I was to blog about all the details of this fabulous trip that we took to Italy, Croatia & Montenegro...I would be typing for a month!  And it would take a year to upload all the fantastic photos!  So I have decided to just put a couple of highlight photos up and hope you enjoy them.

VENICE - we arrived in Venice on May 9th, after leaving very early on the 8th.  We were tired, but we checked into our hotel and set out to explore Venice.

Rialto Bridge

MURANO & BURANO -  One of our days in Venice, we took a boat ride over to Murano which is known for their glass work.  Beautiful pieces of art.  Burano was VERY colorful and fun.

YACHT - After spending three days in Venice, on Saturday afternoon we boarded the Windstar Wind Surf yacht...ready to leave beautiful Venice....

DUBROVNIK, CROATIA - There were 3 stops in Croatia: Pula, Split & Dubrovnik.  Dubrovnik was the highlight of Croatia.

MONTENEGRO- Our next stop was Kotor, Montenegro.  It was beautiful, it reminded me of Alaska.

SICILY - Our next stop was Messina, Sicily, Italy.  We hired a tour guide and he took us to a quaint town Taormina.  It was a lovely day.

CAPRI - The Island of Capri was gorgeous and so very swanky.  It's an expensive place to live and shop.  But we did get to go into the Blue Grotto.  It was tricky, laying completely flat in a small row boat in order to fit thru the tiny hole.  But it was worth it.  The photo of the blue color is an untouched photo...it's really that blue.  It was amazing.

ROME - Now this is an amazing part of the trip.  Hundreds and hundreds of photos.  I am going to post a lot, but there are so many more.  I hope you enjoy them.  And if you ever get the chance to go to Rome, definitely go.  I would go back in a heart beat! And a side note, these are a little out of order.

Borghese Gardens...riding or at least trying to ride with our crazy driver!

There is a legend that if you throw a coin over your right shoulder, with your left hand, that you will return to Rome someday
